You’ve probably noticed, often when people start talking about “The last days” or End of the World”.  The bible gives many examples of signs that should warn us of the coming end of the age.  Unfortunately, many Christians take the verse that tell us we won’t know the time of His coming to mean they should ignore scripture that might warn us.  Prophecy is being fulfilled daily, and at a faster than ever before.

There is an old saying “Time waits for no man! How true.  And time is no respecter of a person either.  When our time comes to say good bye to loved ones and families and to this universe, we will have to go.

Time is Short

We must do all we can to reach the lost while we have an opportunity.  We are rapidly approaching the end time as we know it.  Events are approaching that will take this modern secular world completely by surprise.

            Restoration of the Jews to Israel & the return of the Jews to Israel is the key to bible prophecy.  Deuteronomy 4:27-31 says, The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you.  There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell.  But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath.

Jews would be scattered throughout the world and persecuted as has occurred for the last 3000 years and one day the Jews would return to God and to the land of Israel which he promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Isaiah 11:11

In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea.

Jeremiah 30:1-3

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.  The days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their forefathers to possess,' says the LORD."

Joel 3: 1-2

"In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.

Amos 9:11

 "In that day I will restore David's fallen tent.  I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be.

Ezekiel 36: 24-25

'For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.  I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.

Matthew 24: 32-36

Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth; this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Israel the fig tree has put forth its leaves.  When you see the leaves on the tree begin to come out, you know that summer is near. “So also when you see the things come to pass that I have been talking about (The Gospel preached to the entire world, the abomination of desolation, the great tribulation, and the Son of Man in the Clouds), you know that the end is near.  The fig tree is always a type of Israel.  Israel has been barren, but one day it will put forth leaves, then know the Lord’s return is near.  Israel’s blessings will be quickly realized when the time comes for His return.

Are we seeing these things?

Israel is going back to its land, dearly beloved! Jesus Christ is coming back and He Himself said we didn’t know the day or the hour, He was very clear when telling us about the season of His Return.  Israel is the most important country in the world today.  Last October Iran President Mahmoud declared that “Israel must be wiped off the map”.  It is no surprise that former Israeli deputy defense minister says that war between Israel and Iran is “Inevitable” Israel is mostly hardened against the Lord in this present age.  Mean while multitudes of Gentiles are coming to Christ.

Will every single Jew be saved at the Second Coming?

Not necessarily.  There will be great national turning to Christ, and vast multitudes of Jews will be saved.  This is the clear teaching of Paul in Romans 11:25-26 says, I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:  "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. Salvation is always individual.  We are not saved in groups or even in families, but personality, One by One.’’

Ezekiel 37, Pictures a valley of dry bones brought to life by the power of God.  Those bones represent the “Whole house of Israel” They are the dry bones of the Jewish people scattered among the nations.

How about our Church

Really we are looking at the nation of Israel and I’m seeing exactly what Ezekiel saw – There is no spiritual life in Churches, but please don’t make mistake here.  Prophet has all together different look, Ezekiel sees this dry bones, scattered everywhere, and suddenly as he prophesies he hears a rattling noise all across the valley.  And the bones came together and are attached to one another.  After he sees this wonderful site, muscles and flesh are formed over the bones, but the vision is not complete, the body finished but has no breath.  They are not alive.  When the breath came into them, they became alive and stood upon their feet, an exceeding army.

Ezekiel spoke the word of God and then the spirit, the breath and the wind.  The dry bones a picture of the dried up Christians.  King Solomon in the early days of his reign fire for God but later in his reign burred away by a life of sin.  Many Christians who fell pry to sin in their lives, and never recovered.  May be it was guilt, failure, whatever their reasons, they quit serving.  Christians, flee to sin!  I believe that there is a valley of dry bones in the Christian life. 

                It is a dead place – there is no fruit there.

                It is a dry place – there is no joy there.

When these times com remember the Breath of God.  The Breath of God in a valley of dry bones that brought life to lifeless bones flesh.  That same Breath will bring you back to life.  Call upon Him.  He is waiting upon you.

                Genuine Revival mobilizes the church.  It’s always preceded by faith, humility and united prayer.  God desires to wonderfully revive and equip His church.  The greatest need of the hour is revival without which souls would be doomed forever.

                Dear people, you should have the vision of multitude of such dry bones in many towns and villages in your nation and the whole world.  These unsaved and dead dry bones will never become the children of God until the prophet prophecy the word of God.  Prophecy can change the course of history of a church or a nation.  Prophecy unto the dry bones means conveying the right truth of the word to the right people who are spiritually dead.  Ezekiel prophesied as he was commanded by the Lord.

We need God – Sent Prophet for the Revival

Prophet eats daily the bread of affliction while he ministers, but he feeds the bread of life to those who listen.  The walks before men for days but has walked before God for years.  Prophet announces, pronounces, and denounces.  He has a heart like volcano and his words are as fire.  He forces God before faces men.  He is naturally sensitive but supernaturally spiritual.  He is ordained of God but dis-ordained by men.  He is a school master/teacher for many but few make the “Grade” in his class. He is friendless while living and famous when dead.  He is against the establishment in ministry; he is established as a saint by posterity.  He lives in the heights of God and comes in to the valley with a “This saith the Lord”, His message is “Repent”, His voice is never void.  He is a villain of today and hero of tomorrow.

The prophet is violated during such a time as this.  Pray that God – sent prophet arise and shake the nation.

Evil and sin lurks everywhere, and along with it comes death.  Only the Gospel of Jesus Christ is able to heal the hurts and to make a difference in a world full of sin, hatred and murder.

Our world, our society, is full of child abuse, sexual immorality, perversion, vicious muggings, brutal beatings, torturous disfigurement, a growing drug culture, deal dealing AIDS and cold blooded murder. Would you not say we are living in a time that could be described easily as "perilous times".  Again the Bible scripture comes to mind "in the last days, perilous times shall come." (2 Timothy 3:1) Cruising homosexuals, lusty prostitutes and loose living high rollers are in a high risk category to get hurt badly.  Life in the fast and furious lane of sodomy, drugs, casual sex and gambling is paying huge dividends.  The dividends are trauma, suicide, murder and death.  The wages of sin is death.

Alcohol causes sclerosis of the liver, heart disease, bleeding ulcers, high blood pressure, D.T.'s and blackouts are some of its spin offs.

My advice to social drinkers is, "STOP NOW - because if you keep on hitting the bottle, you surely will be sorry." Jesus Christ gives us the power to change.  Yes, the wages of sin is death, but we are free to receive the gift of God, which is eternal life.

THE WORLD IS AFRAID - THE WORLD IS LOOKING FOR ANSWERS - THE WORLD IS FALLING APART - Are we living in the last days - are these signs of the end of time and the Great tribulation?

People are nervous and anxious and full of fear.  We are living in a world that is suddenly not a safe place to be.  We are living in a world full of terrorism, wars, new frightening diseases and viruses and startling weather disasters that are wiping out thousands of people in seconds. Our world is falling apart.  Our air is polluted, our water is polluted, we are experiencing earthquakes, tidal waves, tsunamis is places that are totally unexpected and at the greatest magnitudes ever recorded.  Global warming is threatening our very existence and the new diseases & viruses we are seeing in animals and food products are alarming.

NATURE, through solar storms, falling meteors, black holes, white holes and worm holes is doing damage to the universe.  Tornados, cyclones, tsunamis and severe electrical storms cause great bodily harm and death to people and animals, as well as destroying millions of acres of timber annually through forest fire.  The animals and wild life are themselves polluters, spreading disease amongst themselves, as well as being purveyors of many deadly diseases to the human population.

Massive earthquakes, the Sri Lanka Tsunami, terrorist attacks, the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and continuing unrest in the Middle East.

Did you notice that at the time of the end knowledge shall be increased and travel shall speed up. For centuries men depended upon the horse and the cart in order to move from place to place. With the introduction of the stagecoach one could hardly say there was any great improvement. Then all of a sudden a change came. Man began to find ways of traveling fast.  And during the last 50 years we have left the steam train behind changing over to the powerful and fast diesel engine.  Suddenly the jet age was born enabling airplanes to travel at speeds greater than sound.  D.R Davies says: "If the nineteenth century may properly be described as 'the wonderful century', then the twentieth century can only be thought of as ''The Incredible Century.”

And how true it is!  Bible prophecy indicates that in the last days man would travel very swiftly. Daniel 12:14 says, "… Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

For centuries men had to depend on the old oil lamp when it began to grow dark. Some brilliant person thought up the kerosene lamp, which could be classified as an improvement. Thanks to Thomas Edison, the world was given the most wonderful lighting system of all, electricity. No more groping in semi darkness. Cities lit up by thousands of bright lights. Colour TV a most remarkable invention plus video tape recorders. It is safe to say that a person who is 60 years old has seen a greater increase of knowledge than all the people of the past generations put together.

Notice the prophecy in Nahum 2:3, 4: "… the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and fir trees shall be terribly shaken. The chariots shall rage in the streets they shall jostle one against another in the broad ways, they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightning."

Did you notice flaming torches and run like lightings. Now isn't that descriptive of the motor car? Now we will touch on another prophecy and that is …

God says that prophecy is essential to the church. Suppose for the sake of illustration, I should compare the mouth with the gift of evangelism, and suppose that apostleship could be best compared with the heart. What part of the body do you think would best represent the gift of prophecy? The gift of prophecy has always been compared to the eyes, or the sight, or the vision of the church. Now I would like to ask you this question, what is the condition of the man who does not have any eyesight? He is blind. And friends, that is just the condition of the church that does not have the gift of prophecy. Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision the people perish: but he that kept the law, happy is. God has often called both men and women to be prophets down through the years.

1st Peter 4:7 says: "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober and watch unto prayer."

We must give the alarm. But the devil does not want us to do anything.  He says: "Keep quiet; do not alarm people, after all people do not want to be disturbed. They do not want anything that will frighten them. What they want is a smooth message, a low-key message, well toned down so no one will be alarmed. Preach about lilies, the flowers, the birds, the world is tired of shocking news. Men are longing for a message of peace."

We are living right on the very edge of eternity. When the Lord gives that mighty shout, and then will be the time for God's people to go to the place that He has prepared for them. Then there will be no more tears, no more sorrow, no more heartaches, no more pain, for the former things will have passed away.

Get ready!!
